To mark the oil anointing rituals, Siddhalpea Ayurveda Hospital organized a ceremony to anoint the members of the public living in Mt. Lavinia and the surroundings on the 16th of April exemplifying how oil anointing was conducted traditionally. Medical Superintendent and Director of Siddhalepa Ayurveda Hospital Dr. Tudor Senadheera anointed a large number of people who had gathered at the scene of the ceremony. Everyone who visited the traditionally decorated Siddhalepa reception hut in the centre of Mt. Lavinia received a Siddhalepa gift pack and partook of sweet meats which form the menu of Avurudu Festival.
