After a few decades the great feast of Madhu was held recently on a grand scale with the participation of hundreds of thousands of devotees and Siddhalepa took the initiative to carry out several community services for the benefit of those who paid their homage to the great Mother Madhu.

In the daytime a cup of cool Iramusu was served free of charge to the public and in the evening Lakpeyawa Paspanguwa was also served to those who struggled in the scorching sun. In addition, several dustbins were positioned all over the church premises in an effort to regulate the disposal of trash, adding more colour to nature.

Awareness creating slogans and eye-catching notices were also displayed increasing more religious values in the hearts of devotees. All these Siddhalepa contributions for the comfort of the pilgrims received accolades from every one.

Siddhalepa management and staff rescued a cow, its calf and another cow form slaughter to mark Poson Full Moon. The cow and its calf were handed over to one staff member and second cow to another member.

To mark this historic occasion, chairman of the Siddhalepa Group of Companies Deshabandu Dr. Victor Hettigoda sought the blessings of the prelate of the Malwatte Chapter the Most Venerable Tibbotuwawe Sri Siddhartha Thero and of the prelate of the Asgiriya Chapter the Most Venerable Udugama Sri Buddharakkitha Thero.

Presidential Awards Ceremony for Travel and Tourism was held at the BMICH, Colombo recently where Siddhalepa Ayurveda Health Resort - Wadduwa won the Best Award for Ayurveda Tourism in Sri Lanka. Management & measurement, Workplace practices and Public disclosure. The rating system is designed on assessing the performance of individual business and its commitment to implement processes and systems through a strategic operation model.

The corporate values of Siddhalepa included continues innovation, adherence to cultural values and strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Siddhalepa has moved seamlessly into a modern health and wellness business keeping centuries old system of medicine intact and is confident that this can be sustained for future generation as well. One of the key areas of focus for Siddhalepa in the sphere of Corporate Accountability is its own version of sustainability- one with a Sri Lankan flavour.

In identifying the opportunities, Siddhalepa was the pioneer in manufacturing and marketing natural and Ayurvedic preparations on a commercial scale dating back to early 1970 s.

ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 14001: 2004 are awarded for the successful implementation of Quality Management System and Environmental Management System respectively, while ISO 22000:2005 certifies the adherence to Food Safety Management System.

Hettigoda Group being the highest in excellence in Cleaner Production Practices in Manufacturing (Large Organization Category) received Silver Award at the National Cleaner Production Awards Ceremony held on Wednesday, 26th January 2011 at Galle Face hotel. It was the highest award as there was no Gold winner in this category. The company also bagged three Excellence Awards in recognition of Cleaner Production achievements in Material Efficiency, Energy Efficiency and Water Efficiency in Manufacturing (Large Organization Category).

In efforts to empower future Sustainability of the country, Siddhalepa Company has excelled in many attributes over the years, which were highly praised locally and internationally.
